St. Regis Hotel & Residence Opens
The highly anticipated St. Regis Hotel & Residence opened today in Bal Harbour.
"Forbes magazine called us the most anticipated hotel to open in 2012," said March Selva, the hotel's general manager.
The St. Regis Bal Harbour is the only hotel of its namesake in the entire state of Florida.
It features 243 ocean view rooms and suites and 307 residences in three all-glass towers that rise 27-stories above the beach.
In every bathroom, you're only a click away from your favorite channel thanks to a television that doubles as a mirror.
The smallest room on the property is 650 square feet and the largest is 2,800 square feet.
The 2,800 square foot presidential suite offers guests a gourmet kitchen, a media room, two-bedrooms, a dining room and access via a private elevator.
"St. Regis is all about, I say it's about uncompromised quality. It's about just looking after the guest as if they're the only guest in the building," said Paul James from the St. Regis.
The resort offers St. Regis Butler Service, a sprawling spa and world class dining at the J&G Grill with a menu curated by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
In 2007 the Sheraton Hotel was imploded to make way for the luxury hotel.
Rooms at the St. Regis Bal Harbour start at $850 a night and suites can cost $1,500 a night.
